Drive a Train

Yes, at Milang you can drive a “real” train; steam or diesel.

A simulator is installed in our South Australian Railways diesel locomotive. Visitors can use the real controls to “drive” the locomotive through Mt Barker station. Young children may need their parent’s help to reach the controls.

In the Light Railway Centre, the volunteers have built a steam locomotive cab with simulated controls and videos. Visitors can “drive” the locomotive through Cobdogla in the Riverland.

Tour Group Bookings

Available for clubs and tour groups looking for an interesting and economical place to have lunch or a Devonshire Tea.
