The Milang Model Railway Exhibition is held every two years. This year it is on the weekend of 25th/26th November 2023 from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $10 per person with children twelve and under free. The exhibition is split between two locations; the Milang Institute and the Railway Station which are an easy two hundred and fifty metres apart.
We expect around twelve model railway layouts headed by Gavin Thrum’s “Wellingford and Bakewell Bridge” which is a modelling masterpiece. At least three of the layouts have never been seen before in South Australia. Three retailers will also be present which makes it a great time for Christmas gift selection.

Other attractions include free train rides on the museum railway, demonstration diesel locomotive runs, “Drive a Locomotive” simulators, the railway museum exhibits and the community craft shop. The cafeteria car will be open for lunches, Devonshire Teas and other refreshments.
It’s a great day out for enthusiasts and families, just an hour from the Adelaide CBD
